From December 2019 thru March 2020, Fayetteville-based poet Noelia Cerna and her Olivetti typewriter, aptly named Olivia, traveled to four cities across Northwest Arkansas to capture what it means to be American through the eyes of the Northwest Arkansas community.
Noelia met with over 60 individuals one-on-one to listen and then write a poem on the spot based on their brief conversation about what America means to them. Below are the results of those shared moments.
